Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

On March 6, Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha will preside over the briefing session on the situation regarding the new coronavirus (COVID-19) for the diplomatic corps in the Republic of Korea (ROK).

At the briefing session, Minister Kang will explain that the ROK has been making all-out, government-wide efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 and once again ask foreign countries not to take excessive restrictive measures against Koreans.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters and overseas diplomatic missions have been continuing all-out response efforts, including dispatching the government’s rapid response team to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam earlier today.
