Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and co-preside the 19^th Korea-Saudi Joint Committee with Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia Mohamed Al-Twaijri on December 18.

During the forthcoming Joint Committee, the two sides will review the progress in the implementation of follow-up measures to the official visit of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to the ROK in June this year. They will also discuss ways for bilateral substantive cooperation in 15 areas, including political affairs, economy and culture.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Taeho will visit the French Republic and meet with high-level officials of UNESCO, including UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay.

With next year marking the 70^th anniversary of the ROK’s accession to UNESCO, the two sides will discuss the way forward to further advance the ROK-UNESCO relations, as well as ways to work together to commemorate the 70^th anniversary of the ROK’s accession to UNESCO.
