Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Sei-young will deliver welcoming remarks at the “2019 international conference on emerging security threats” to be co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute for National Security Strategy on December 2.

Vice Minister Cho will underscore the importance of the international community’s concerted efforts to address emerging security threats in the 4^th Industrial Revolution era.

The conference is expected to serve as an opportunity to explore ways for countries to work together and respond amid the changing international security landscape as well as to step up public-private cooperation.
