Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will visit Singapore, ASEAN’s chair for 2018, from July 31 to August 5 to attend ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers’ Meetings.

On August 1 and 2, the Minister will hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts from countries participating in the ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers’ Meetings. We are working to arrange around 15 bilateral meetings, and depending on the schedule, bilateral meetings could also take place on August 3 and 4, during which multilateral meetings will be held.

On August 3, Minister Kang will attend the ROK-ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and the ROK-Mekong Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. On August 4, she will attend the Foreign Ministers’ Meetings of the ASEAN+3, the East Asia Summit (EAS), and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) one after another.
