1. Three weeks ahead of the 2019 ASEAN-Republic of KOREA Commemorative Summit and the 1st Mekong-Republic of KOREA Summit, which will take place in Busan on November 25-27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a luncheon, hosted by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Tae-ho, with the Ambassadors of the ten ASEAN Member States to the Republic of Korea (ROK) on November 4, 2019, shared the recent progress in the preparations for the Commemorative Summit and listened to views of the ASEAN side.

2. Over the luncheon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared the progress in the preparations made over the past month since the relevant briefing session held on October 7 for diplomatic missions of ASEAN Member States in the ROK, and, in particular, introduced the activities of the task force for each country that had been formed to provide protocol services tailored to needs of each ASEAN Member State.

3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will do its utmost in preparing for the Commemorative Summit in close communication with the ASEAN side on the full range of relevant matters in order for the participating leaders of the ASEAN Member States to feel that they are treated with warm hospitality and high respect.
