1. A group of journalists from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) will visit the Republic of Korea (ROK) on October 28-November 1, 2019, as part of the ROK-PRC journalists exchange program.

2. The ROK-PRC journalists exchange program has been conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1995 to enhance exchanges, cooperation and understanding between journalists of the two countries. For this program, journalists of the ROK and the PRC have visited each other’s countries on an annual basis since 2011.

3. While in the ROK, the Chinese journalists will attend a meeting to be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and visit major media outlets in Seoul. They will also visit Sejong City, resource recycling facilities in Jeju-do and the Independence Hall of Korea.

4. The forthcoming visit is expected to serve as an opportunity for the Chinese journalists to have diverse experiences in the ROK and as a good foundation in promoting friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
