1. Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Kyung-wha will visit the Osan Air Base and the United States (U.S.) Army Garrison Humphreys (Camp Humphreys) in Pyeongtaek on September 20. During the visit, she will meet with Commander of the U.S. Forces Korea Robert Abrams, have a luncheon meeting with Korean and U.S. service members, and tour the Osan and Pyeongtaek bases.

° During her meeting with Commander Abrams, Minister Kang will reaffirm the importance of the ironclad Republic of Korea (ROK)-U.S. alliance and highlight the ROK’s commitment to strengthening the bilateral alliance with the United States, including through close bilateral coordination toward denuclearization and the establishment of peace on the Korean Peninsula.

2. U.S. Ambassador to the ROK Harry Harris will accompany Minister Kang on her visit to the bases.
