1. Amb. Lee Do-hoon, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, will visit Washington DC, the United States (U.S.), on September 19-21. During the visit, he will have consultations with Mr. Stephen Biegun, U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, and discuss ways for the Republic of Korea and the U.S. to work together in achieving substantial progress toward complete denuclearization and the establishment of permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.

2. During his visit to Washington DC and on the occasion of the high-level segment of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly session, Amb. Lee will also meet with other officials of the U.S. administration for extensive discussions on Korean Peninsula issues and on matters of mutual interest between the two countries.
