1. The government of the Republic of Korea (ROK) strongly condemns the suicide attack that occurred at a wedding hall in Kabul on August 17.

2. The ROK government extends its deepest condolences to the victims killed in the terrorist attack and the bereaved families.

3. It is the firm position of the ROK government that terrorism is an act against humanity that cannot be justified under any circumstances and must be eradicated at any cost. The ROK government will continue to take an active part in the international community’s efforts to eliminate terrorism.
