1. The government of the Republic of Korea expresses a strong protest over the fact that the Japanese side is continuing to make unjustifiable claims over Dokdo, including by holding the provocative “Dokdo Day” event hosted by its provincial government on February 22 and by sending a high-level official of the Japanese government to the event. The ROK government once again sternly urges a halt to the event.

2. The Japanese government must immediately stop all provocations over Dokdo, which is clearly an integral part of the ROK territory historically, geographically and under international law, and show an attitude of humbly facing its history.
