1. The government of the Republic of Korea expresses concern over the ongoing serious political chaos in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela surrounding the outcome of the presidential election held in the country in May 2018.

The government of the Republic of Korea urges Venezuela to hold as soon as possible a presidential election in accordance with its constitution and in a democratic, transparent and trustworthy way; and hopes that, by doing so, the country will resolve the chaos and conflict and restore stability.
