1. The government of the Republic of Korea welcomes and extends congratulations on the resolution^* of the long-standing name dispute between Greece and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM^**) over the latter’s name, which was achieved in a peaceful manner and in a spirit of mutual respect and compromise.

 * Both Sides agreed to use ‘Republic of North Macedonia’.

2. The ROK Government looks forward to this agreement becoming an important opportunity not only for the mutually-beneficial development of the relations between the two countries, but also for the sustainable peace and stability in the Balkans and Europe.
