1. The first batch of aid supplies, including blankets and sanitation kits, -- part of the supplies worth $500,000 that the Republic of Korea government had decided to provide to Laos over the accident that had occurred at the Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy hydropower dam in the Laotian province of Attepeu on July 23 -- left Seoul Airport for the country on military transport aircraft on July 28.
° Among the first batch of aid supplies were some 1,200 blankets from the ROK government as well as relief supplies donated by the private sector, including about 200 sanitation kits from the Korean Red Cross and clothes from SK Engineering & Construction Co.
2. The ROK government will set a plan for offering more relief supplies to Laos after consultations with the Lao government.
