1. Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will pay an official visit to Thailand on July 1 and 2.

2. Minister Kang’s visit will come to reciprocate the one by the Thai Foreign Minister to the Republic of Korea for a bilateral foreign ministerial meeting in Seoul on May 17. On July 2, Minister Kang will once again meet and discuss with Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai of Thailand ways to promote the relationship between the two countries that mark the 60^th anniversary of diplomatic relations; to work together on the ROK government’s New Southern Policy; and the progress in the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

3. Later in the day, Minister Kang will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
