1. The government of the Republic of Korea takes note of the Saudi government’s announcement that around 23:30, March 25, local time, the Saudi Air Defense Forces intercepted all of the seven ballistic missiles launched by Houthi rebels in Yemen toward civilian residential areas in Riyadh and other parts of Saudi Arabia; and condemns in strong terms this missile attack that threatened lives and safety of civilians.

※ On March 25, the state-run Saudi Press Agency, citing the announcement by the Allied Arab Forces, reported that a combined seven ballistic missiles had been fired from the Yemeni territory toward civilian residential areas in Riyardh (3 missiles) and in southern Saudi cities near its border with Yemen -- Khamis Mushayt (1 missile), Najran (1 missile) and Jazan (2 missiles), with debris from the intercepted missiles killing one Egyptian laborer and injuring two others.

2. Amid continued armed clashes in Yemen, the number of civilian casualties is growing, continuously worsening the humanitarian situation in the country. The government of the Republic of Korea urges all the relevant parties in Yemen and its neighboring countries to make efforts to restore peace and stability in Yemen and its adjacent region.
