1. The Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) will host an “IFANS Talks” event on March 23 in a bid to help the people of the Republic of Korea understand diplomatic issues.

The IFANS Talks, whose forthcoming round will mark the 19th since the first held in May 2013, is an event where lectures are delivered to future global leaders interested in international issues, public diplomacy and seeking job opportunities at international organizations. The upcoming round is expected to bring together some 300 people, including high school and college students, other members of the general public and foreign diplomats.

2. The forthcoming round of the IFANS Talks at the KNDA at 14:30-16:30, March 23, will feature lectures by four guest speakers, -- head of the World Food Programme Korea office Lim Hyoung-joon; Spokesperson Rah Seung-yun of the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Bid Committee; former Deputy Registrar Kim Doo-young of the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea (ITLOS); and head of the UNICEF Seoul office Kim Soo-hyun -- followed by question-and-answer sessions with the speakers.

3. The content of the lectures to be delivered at the upcoming IFANS Talks will be uploaded on the KNDA IFANS website at www.ifans.go.kr and at its YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/kndalive. The event may also be viewed at a click of the links to be posted on the KNDA IFANS’ official Facebook and Twitter pages.
