Foreign Minister Visits Passport Service Office at Incheon International Airport

1. Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha visited the Foreign Ministry’s Passport Service Office at Incheon International Airport on November 21. She looked at how passport services are provided, and offered words of encouragement to officials working there.

o The Passport Service Office at Incheon International Airport issues emergency passports (single passport with a photo on it) to people who need passports urgently for humanitarian reasons, or business travel or academic purposes.

2. Minister Kang exchanged greetings with people who visited the Passport Service Office to apply for emergency passports, and asked them to be careful not to be involved in any accidents or incidents and to stay safe when traveling abroad.

3. In addition, Minister Kang was briefed on another passport service office to be set up at Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 2, which will open in January 2018, and asked related officials to do their best to make sure that the office can provide services without any problems.
