1. The Government of the Republic of Korea is deeply shocked and outraged over the fact that a large number of people were killed in the barbaric terrorist attack in Nice, France, on July 14, and strongly condemns the terrorist act.

2. The Government of the Republic of Korea prays for the souls of the innocent victims of the attack and offers its deepest condolence and sympathy to their bereaved families as well as the people of France.

3. It is the firm position of the Government of the Republic of Korea that terrorism is a crime against civilization and humanity that cannot be justified under any circumstances and must be eradicated at any cost. The ROK government strongly supports the efforts of the French government to fight terrorism and will continue to take part in such efforts of the international community, including France.
