1. Ambassador Choi Hong-ghi of the Republic of Korea to Jordan was awarded an Order of Istiklal, First Class, by King Abdullah of Jordan at the royal palace on April 26 in recognition of his contribution to the advances in the ROK-Jordan relations. The Ambassador was paying a courtesy call on the King to say farewell before leaving his post.

2. Awarding Ambassador Choi the medal, King Abdullah highly commended him for his robust diplomatic activities while in office that led to great advances in the friendly and cooperative ties between the ROK and Jordan.
