1. Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se held a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on March 14. In their conversation, the two Ministers noted with appreciation the close coordination between the Republic of Korea and the People’s Republic of China in the lead-up to the adoption of the strong and effective UN Security Council Resolution 2270, and agreed to work closely together for a full implementation of the resolution. Minister Yun stressed that under the current circumstances, where North Korea is fully rejecting the UN Security Council resolutions and continuing threats of provocation, a greater focus should be put on a thorough implementation of the sanctions.

2. The two Ministers, noting that the ROK and the PRC are developing closer relations than ever before through close, mutual communication, expressed hope for further development in the bilateral strategic cooperative partnership through exchanges between various officials, including the head delegates to the Six-Party Talks.
