1. The first Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) of MIKTA -- a mechanism among Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Turkey and Australia -- took place at the Foreign Ministry on February 27, chaired by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Lee Kyung-soo of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Korea.

2. Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se hosted a luncheon for the head delegates to the MIKTA SOM and the Ambassadors to the ROK from the MIKTA member countries.
