1. The Government of the Republic of Korea regards the executive order announced by the US administration on January 2, Washington time, as an appropriate countermeasure against continued provocative actions and policy of North Korea, such as the recent cyber-attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment.

2. In addition, the Government of the Republic of Korea reemphasizes its position made clear in its commentary dated December 20, 2014: Cyber-attacks and threats that undermine the openness and security of cyberspace as well as interests of individuals and enterprises should never be tolerated under any circumstances.
