1. The ROK-US-China Track 1.5 meeting, co-hosted by the Korea National Diplomatic Academy’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security, the US Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), will be held at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy in Seoul on July 22.

2. The upcoming meeting will be attended by experts on Korean Peninsula affairs and government officials from the ROK, the US and China. The participants will have a candid discussion on issues related to the Korean Peninsula, including the North Korean nuclear issue.

3. The meeting is significant in that it is the first step for the ROK to strengthen its strategic communication with the US and China, key countries involved in building sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula. The meeting is expected to serve as a good opportunity for the three countries to enhance mutual understanding.
