1. In view of the declining crime rates and the improved security situation in Guinea, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Korea lowered the travel-alert level for the entire country to Level 2 (Highly Cautious) from the previous Level 3 (Travel Restricted), effective from July 5.
* As of July 5, there are 64 ROK nationals staying in Guinea, most of them self-employed or employees of companies.
2. ROK nationals staying in Guinea are advised to pay particular heed to their own safety, and those planning to visit the country seriously reconsider their need to travel.
