1. Amb. Lee Do-hoon, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, had a telephone consultation with Mr. Luo Zhaohui, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, on the morning of September 10.

2. The two sides shared their assessments of the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and discussed in depth overall regional affairs.

 
° Amb. Lee explained in detail the efforts made by the government of the Republic of Korea for North Korea’s return to dialogue. Vice Minister Luo commended the peace process on the Korean Peninsula pursued by the ROK government and reaffirmed China’s commitment to cooperation.

3. The two sides agreed to continue holding ROK-China consultations in the near future in various forms, including in-person consultations, on ways to resume dialogue with North Korea.
