Korea-Japan Trade and Investment(2006)

ㅇ As of 2006, Japan is the second-largest trading partner and the third-largest export market of Korea. Likewise, Korea is the third-largest trading partner of Japan.

ㅇ The bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached US$78.5 billion in 2006 ; the trade deficit of Korea with Japan amounted to US$25.4 billion.

ㅇ As of 2006, Japan ranked as the second largest investor country to Korea, next to the U.S. On the other hand, the amount of Korea's investment in Japan is relatively small.
