Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung, Eui-yong, who officially took office yesterday, February 8, began his work on his first day in the Ministry today, including attending the inauguration ceremony.

Following his inauguration ceremony, Foreign Minister Chung chaired a senior officials’ meeting in which he put forward his vision for the direction the Ministry should pursue in carrying out its diplomatic tasks and asked to make efforts to that end.
