The 41st Global Fund Board Meeting

1. The 41st Global Fund Board Meeting was held on May 15-16 in Geneva, Switzerland. The delegation of the Republic of Korea was headed by Ms. Hyunjoo Oh, Director-General for Development Cooperation, as a board member of the Additional Public Donors constituency. The board members, alternate members, and committee members shared their views on the outcome documents.

2. The board approved methodologies for allocation and for catalytic investments in the 2020-2022 period to focus funding on countries with the highest disease burden and lowest economic capacity, accounting for key and vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. Also, the board reviewed the Global Fund’s finances, strategic performance framework, and key performance indicators.
