주애틀랜타 대한민국 총영사관

이준호 총영사는 9월 1일 화요일, 2026년 9월을 ‘월드옥타 글로벌 스타트업의 달’로 지정하는 조지아 주 하원의 결의안 선포 및 전달식에 참석하였습니다.

이번 결의안 선포식은 월드옥타 애틀랜타 소지회 활성화 대회를 시작하는 뜻깊은 자리였습니다. 이 총영사는 축사를 통해 조지아 주 의회가 스타트업 지원 및 차세대 기업가 육성에 힘쓰고 있는 월드옥타에 지지와 격려를 보냈다는 점에 주목하였습니다. 특히, 한-조지아 관계가 이미 한-미 경제협력의 핵심으로 올라섰다고 평가하면서, 월드 옥타의 활동이 한층 더 넓고 깊은 관계에 기여할 것으로 기대된다고 하였습니다.

이어진 이 총영사와 박종범 회장, 썬박 애틀랜타 지회장 등 월드옥타 임원진과의 면담에서 이 총영사는 월드옥타의 향후 활동 방향을 청취하였으며, 월드옥타에 지지와 격려를 보냈습니다.

On Sept. 1, Consul General Joon Ho Lee attended a special ceremony where the Georgia House of Representatives proclaimed September 2026 as “World OKTA Global Startup Month.”

Celebrating the World-OKTA Atlanta Chapter Revitalization Convention, Consul General Lee delivered congratulatory remarks, commending the Georgia Legislature for recognizing World-OKTA’s mission to support startups and empower next-generation entrepreneurs. He highlighted that World-OKTA’s efforts will further strengthen the deep economic ties between Korea and Georgia.

Following the ceremony, Consul General Lee met with World-OKTA Chairman, Jongbum Park, Atlanta Chapter President Sun Park, and leadership to discuss future initiatives and offer his full support.
