Tourist Visa Requirements

Visa Application Form is found on the main screen of the Embassy website. It can be filled by hand or by computer, using English Language (capital letters).

One recent passport size photo.

Passport valid for at least 6 months longer than the intended period of stay in the Republic of Korea. In addition to a copy of the passport.

Air-ticket with confirmed reservation.

Confirmed hotel reservation covering the entire duration of the applicants stay in Korea. The confirmation must include the name, address and telephone numbers of the hotel.

A bank statement of account.

In case the applicant is an employee, travel permission from the employer, including leave period, must be provided.

A valid company registration certificate from the Chamber of Commerce in Lebanon or the applicants’ own country, accompanied by an English translation if the certificate is in Arabic.

A statement specifying the duration of the applicants stay in Korea, and a pledge testifying that he/she would not engage in any type of work there.

Schedule of the proposed visit to Korea, including anticipated activities.

Applicants intending to visit a relative or a friend in Korea must provide an invitation/guarantee letter from the respective relative or friend, specifying the name of the invitee, the duration of the visit, and the address and telephone number of the inviting person, in addition to the house rental contract or a title deed of the invitee plus copy of the invitee’s passport.

However, if the inviting person is of the Lebanese nationality, the name, address and telephone number of the company in which the inviting person is employed must be provided together with his/her private address, telephone number, and a copy of the relative immigration/residence card in addition to his house rental contract. If the inviting person is not Korean, a copy of the certificate of alien registration is required.

For non-Lebanese applicants, a copy of the residence permit should be submitted. If the applicant works in Lebanon, the residence permit and the working permit plus a letter from his/her employer must be presented. Applicants must also submit a letter explaining why a visa to Korea was not applied for in their respective countries.

* All documents shall be submitted in person to the Embassy, faxed documents are not acceptable. In case of incomplete documents, the application is returned until all the required papers are submitted.

Business Visa Requirements

Passport valid for at least 6 months longer than the intended period of stay in the Republic of Korea.

Copy of the passport.

Air-ticket with confirmed reservation.

The inviting company in Korea should provide an original invitation endorsed by the Notary Public in Korea (by DHL or any airmail company) specifying: The name of the invitee; the name, address and telephone number of the inviting company; the name of the person issuing the invitation; and the duration of visit in addition to a copy of the company registration certificate. The invitation should be in the Korean and English languages.

In case there was a previous commercial relationship with the Korean company in question, a bill of lading providing the fact should be submitted.

Applicants must also present the commercial registration certificate issued by the Chamber of Commerce in Lebanon or their own country, accompanied by an English translation if the certificate is in Arabic.

If the applicant is an employee, he/she must present a letter proving that he is an employee of the company wishing him to visit Korea, and that the company is responsible for him in addition to the Identification Card (ID or passport) of the employer.

N.B.: Visa applications can be submitted any day, except Saturdays, Sundays and on holidays, between 09:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. The visa will be issued within 5 to 10 days from the day of application. Passport collection time is 03:30 p.m. on Mondays – Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. Visa fee charge is $40 to be paid to the Embassy with the application (there might be additional visa charges depending on nationality or period of stay). The visa fee charge is nonrefundable. The above requirements are not inclusive, in that some applicants will be required by the consular officer to submit additional documents. In order to avoid delay, it is to your advantage to submit a complete file when you first apply for visa. A visa is not a guarantee of entry to the Republic of Korea. The bearer of a visa is subject to inspection at the point of entry by the Republic of Korea Immigration officials who have authority to deny admission. Therefore, the recipient of visa should carry with him/her, for possible presentation to immigration inspectors, the evidence submitted to the consular officer when the visa was obtained.
