The Embassy of the Republic of Korea(ROK) in Beirut is very pleased and proud to welcome you to our Internet Home Page. At the outset, I wish to stress the fact that despite its small size only equal to the Korean gyeonggi-do Province and its small population just over four million, Lebanon at the crossroads of Asia and Africa in the Eastern Mediterranean is actually a big country with over 14 million diaspora communities scattered around the world.

Particularly, the entrepreneurship inherited since the Phoenician times is still manifested in the business network of world-wide Lebanese diaspora which I am sure laid a solid foundation for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of this country. Strengthening the close relationship between Lebanon and Korea will contribute to the expansion of world market for both countries which require their active and sustained engagement in global economy in this age of globalization.
