Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Eui-yong will attend the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers of members and partner countries to be held in Brussels on Thursday, April 7.

Foreign Minister Chung, the first Korean Foreign Minister to attend the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs, will discuss with NATO members and partners global security challenges, including the situation in Ukraine, as well as ways to work together to strengthen the foundation for international norms.

On the occasion of the meeting, Foreign Minister Chung will also have separate bilateral meetings with the NATO Secretary General and foreign ministers of major countries, and discuss issues of key interest, including ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and the situations on the Korean Peninsula and in Ukraine.
