1. Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun held a telephone conversation with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Hussein Al Safadi on August 14, during which the two sides exchanged views on Korea-Jordan relations and regional affairs in the Middle East. This call also served as a courtesy exchange marking Minister Cho’s inauguration.

2. Minister Safadi congratulated Minister Cho on his assumption of office and underscored the importance Jordan places on its cooperation with the Republic of Korea, expressing his hope for continued close communication. Minister Cho also highlighted the long-standing friendship between the two countries and reaffirmed the commitment to further advancing cooperation in a wide range of areas.

3. Minister Safadi appreciated Korea’s support for stability and peace in the Middle East. The two Ministers also exchanged views on the situation in Gaza and concurred to continue discussions on bilateral and regional issues on future occasions.
