1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting of the ROK-U.S.-Japan Trilateral Coordinating Secretariat Managing Board, together with the U.S. Department of State and the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Washington, D.C. on May 19.

2. The Managing Board discussed key regional challenges faced by the three countries, reviewed the recent progress in the implementation of trilateral initiatives, and explored ways to further develop them. They also exchanged views on ways to bolster the Secretariat’s role in deepening trilateral cooperation in a more action-oriented and substantial manner.
