3. Regarding the situation in Ukraine, many participants expressed concerns that Russia's invasion of Ukraine seriously undermines the international legal order and is causing the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and a slowdown in global economic recovery.

4. Foreign Minister Park stated that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is not only a clear violation of international law, but also a direct threat to national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and respect for political independence, which are the fundamental principles of international order.

5. Furthermore, Foreign Minister Park stressed that the Korean government will continue to participate actively in international efforts for the restoration of peace and humanitarian support in Ukraine.

6. Regarding the South China Sea issue, many participants stated that destabilizing actions in the South China Sea threaten the safety and freedom of commerce and navigation in the world's trade route, as well as hinder the prosperity of countries in the region. They also stressed the importance of adhering to international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

7. Foreign Minister Park pointed out that peace and stability in the South China Sea are essential for regional and global economic recovery, and explained the Korean government's position that it will continue to cooperate in establishing freedom of navigation and overflight based on a rules-based order and international law including UNCLOS.

8. Regarding the situation in Myanmar, Foreign Minister Park expressed concern about the deteriorating situation and called for substantial progress in implementing the Five-Point Consensus of ASEAN for the resolution of the Myanmar issue. Foreign Minister Park added that the Korean government, as a responsible member of the international community, will continue to support the people of Myanmar and refugees.

9. Foreign Minister Park strongly condemned North Korea's launch of a long-range ballistic missile on July 12 and highly appreciated the ASEAN foreign ministers' statement expressing grave concerns over the launch. He also emphasized that North Korea’s provocations which have continued with unprecedented frequency since last year constitute a clear violation of numerous UN Security Council resolutions and pose a serious threat to international peace and stability.

10. Furthermore, Foreign Minister Park stated that in order to bring about a change in North Korea's behavior, the international community should be united and clearly demonstrate that the commitment of the EAS to the denuclearization of North Korea is stronger than North Korea's nuclear aspirations. He also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in blocking North Korea's illicit sources of funding for weapons of mass destruction, including malicious cyber activities and the repatriation of overseas North Korean workers.

11. Foreign Minister Park expressed deep concern over the human rights situation in North Korea and underscored the need to raise the international community’s awareness of the issue.
