1. The Korean government has decided to provide US$500,000 and US$300,000 in humanitarian assistance to the Democratic Republic of Congo and to the Republic of Rwanda, respectively, which suffered damage from floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in early May.

2. The Korean government hopes that this humanitarian assistance will help the people of the DRC and Rwanda affected by the heavy rains to swiftly bring stability to their daily lives and recover from the damage.
