1. The Korean government extends its deep consolation and condolences to the victims of the earthquake that struck the northwestern border area of Iran on January 28, as well as their bereaved families.

2. In response to the UN’s request, the Korean government has decided to offer US$300,000 in humanitarian assistance to Iran.
