1. The Korean government regrets that, while the follow-up measures concerning the inscription of the Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution have not been fully implemented, the Japanese government resubmitted the nomination of "Sado Island Gold Mines,” which has a similar background as that of the Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution, for the inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
2. The Korean government again urges Japan to first implement the follow-up measures that it has pledged and the World Heritage Committee's repeated decisions at an early date.
3. The Korean government will continue to make efforts together with the international community including UNESCO so that the full history which contains the painful history of people who were forced to work during wartime can be reflected.
