1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the Future Dialogue for Global Innovation 2022 under the theme of "A Habitable New World: Rethinking Technology and Humanity in the Metaverse" at Four Seasons Seoul on December 9.

2. The participants discussed the impact of technology on humanity in the era of the metaverse from the perspectives of opportunities and challenges. 

ㅇ Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin explained the Republic of Korea's active engagement of the private and public sectors in the metaverse, and expressed the Korean government's willingness to reduce the digital gaps and contribute to creating a sound digital ecosystem as a global pivotal state.

ㅇ Along with the renowned filmmaker James Cameron, entrepreneurs from leading corporations, representatives from public institutions and international organizations, experts, and creators shared their views on the metaverse and the future of the humankind through presentations and discussions. 

3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue its efforts to lead discussions on major agenda of the international community through the Future Dialogue for Global Innovation in the context of a value-oriented cultural diplomacy.
