1. Chancellor of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy Hong Hyun-Ik held a meeting with Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States Carmen Moreno on the afternoon of February 7, and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Collaboration between the Korea National Diplomatic Academy and the Matías Romero Institute of Mexico.

ㅇ The MOU intends to promote mutual collaboration in the fields of training of diplomats and academic research.

2. The Chancellor and the Undersecretary appreciated the conclusion of the MOU on the occasion of the 60^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and discussed ways to further strengthen the ties between the two institutions.

ㅇ Both sides explained the training and research programs of their respective institutes, and emphasized the importance of bilateral exchanges.

3. Both sides took note that the Korea-Mexico relations have been fruitful in various areas of mutual interest, including diplomatic, economic, and cultural exchanges.

4. In addition, the Chancellor and the Undersecretary shared their views on regional and global issues, and agreed to continue close communication.
