1. Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Eui-yong will attend the Group of Seven (G7) Foreign and Development Ministers’ Meeting to be held in Liverpool, U.K., from December 11 to 12.

° The meeting is expected to be attended by foreign ministers of G7 member countries, guest countries, and ASEAN countries.

2. Minister Chung, along with representatives from G7 member and guest countries, will participate in sessions on the Indo-Pacific, vaccines and global health security, and gender equality. He will also express Korea’s commitments to contribute to post-pandemic recovery and building a sustainable future.

° Minister Chung will discuss ways to promote coordination between Korea’s New Southern Policy Plus and other countries’ initiatives on the region, and urge the need for stronger international cooperation to achieve equitable access to vaccines and supply chain resilience.

3. Minister Chung will hold bilateral talks with his counterparts from participating countries on the occasion of the Meeting.
