1. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun had a telephone conversation with U.S. Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley on October 7. During the call, the two sides exchanged their views on the current situation on the JCPOA negotiations.

2. Special Envoy Malley shared the situation related to the negotiations on reviving the JCPOA. Vice Minister Choi said that Korea will continue to provide needed diplomatic support for reviving the JCPOA, while considering the importance of the ROK-Iran relations.

3. Special Envoy Malley noted with appreciation the cooperation of the ROK, and asked Korea to continue playing its constructive role.
