● Director General for North Korean Nuclear Affairs Lee Taewoo, in his capacity as ROK’s Deputy Chief Negotiator for the North Korean Nuclear Issue, held consultations with U.S. Deputy Special Representative for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Jung Pak in Seoul on September 16.

● The two sides shared their respective assessments of the recent developments on the Korean Peninsula, and reaffirmed that making progress in denuclearization negotiations through an early resumption of dialogue is an urgent priority.
