1. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun had a telephone conversation with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman on the evening of September 15. During the call, the two sides shared their views on the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and regional affairs.

※ Vice Minister Choi and Deputy Secretary Sherman, through their meetings on June 9 and July 23 and regular telephone conversations, have been in close consultation with each other on their shared interests.

2. The two sides shared their assessment on the short-range ballistic missile launch by the DPRK on September 15.
