1. Amb. Noh Kyu-duk, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, will be visiting Tokyo, Japan, from September 12 to 14 to discuss North Korean nuclear issues and other issues related to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
2. Special Representative Noh will have bilateral and trilateral consultations with Mr. Funakoshi Takehiro, Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Amb. Sung Kim, Special Representative for the DPRK of the United States, to continue the close coordination among the three countries.
3. The consultations will be an opportunity for the three countries to have in-depth discussions on ways to work together to maintain the stability on the Korean Peninsula and move toward an early reinvigoration of the Korean Peninsula Peace Process.
