1. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jongmoon will visit Washington D.C. from July 19 to 22 to meet with key officials of the White House, the Department of State and the House of Representatives.

2. Vice Minister Choi will discuss and assess outcomes from the ROK-U.S. Summit in May and coordinate next steps for their further implementation. The focus of the discussions will include global vaccine partnership, science and technology cooperation, supply chain resilience of semiconductors and high- capacity batteries, and cooperation between the New Southern Policy and the U.S. vision for a free and open Indo-pacific.

3. On the occasion of the visit, Vice Minister Choi will participate in the Fourth ROK-U.S. Joint Public-Private Economic Forum on July 21 and deliver a keynote speech on the ROK-U.S. alliance leading the restoration and restructuring of the global economic order.
