1. Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Eui-yong will be visiting Viet Nam, Singapore and Indonesia -- Korea’s three key partners in implementing its New Southern Policy -- from June 21 to 25.

 * Official schedule: Viet Nam (June 22-23), Singapore (June 24), Indonesia (June 25)

o Foreign Minister Chung’s trip will be the first face-to-face diplomatic event with ASEAN countries since his inauguration. Foreign Minister Chung will have a meeting with each of the three foreign ministers and meet with other high-level officials.

o Foreign Minister Chung will also attend in person along with high-level officials from other major countries the High-Level Policy Dialogue that will be held in Hanoi on June 22 in commemoration of the 25^th anniversary of ASEM.

2. During his visit, Foreign Minister Chung will have in-depth discussions on ways to reinforce cooperation between Korea and the three key Southeast Asian countries on health and disease control, economic recovery and regional issues, among others.
