3. In particular, the Korean government hopes for an immediate end to violence including the use of lethal weapons against protesters, and looks forward to a constructive dialogue involving all parties concerned, as well as a visit to Myanmar by a special envoy of the ASEAN chair without delay.

4. Furthermore, the Korean government once again calls for an immediate release of those detained including State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi to facilitate smooth implementation of the dialogue process in Myanmar.

5. The Korean government supports ASEAN’s active and constructive role in improving and finding a solution to the situation in Myanmar and will provide all possible support to contribute to implementing the consensus and resolving the situation.
