1. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Czech Republic Kim Tae-jin, together with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic Karel Havlíček, formally signed “the Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of the Czech Republic” at the Czech Ministry of Transport at 09:30, November 24, 2020.
2. By amending the Air Services Agreement, the two countries have reinforced the regulations regarding the cooperation on aviation security and eased requirements for the designation of airlines, thereby establishing an institutional framework for airlines of not only the Czech Republic but other member states of the European Union to operate the route between the ROK and the Czech Republic.

Despite huge difficulties in the operation of flights due to the global spread
of COVID-19, the ROK government will make efforts for flights between the two
countries to resume when COVID-19 stabilizes.
