1. Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Kim Gunn summoned Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the Republic of Korea Eric Teo on the afternoon of March 4. Deputy Minister Kim expressed strong regret over Singapore’s entry ban on all visitors who have travelled to the ROK, which was announced yesterday, and asked for a prompt withdrawal of the measure.

o In addition, Deputy Minister Kim repeatedly stressed that the ROK government is making government-wide, all-out efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.

2. Ambassador Teo said that he is well aware of the ROK government’s efforts and expects the situation in the ROK to improve soon, and that Singapore hopes to continue bilateral cooperation and robust communication at various levels with the ROK.

3. The two sides agreed to continue close communication and cooperation to normalize people-to-people exchanges between the two countries as early as possible.
